Second Place Winner

Signed Sealed Delivered monthly sketch contest for April 2011

I won 2nd place in the monthly sketch contest at my local scrapbooking store, Signed Sealed Delivered, out of Rogers, Arkansas (look them up on facebook.)  I did a double page, 12X12 layout featuring our newest family member, Lola, our 5 month old Havanese puppy.

I was pleased with my paper choices; all the patterned paper was bought on clearance (my personal addiction.)  I love to use what I have in my stash to create something worth sharing.  I thought the colors were very pretty together.  I am also proud of my photography in this layout. I love taking good pictures and if I get a better-than-good one every once in a while, like the one in the upper right hand corner, I am thrilled.

I recently took a flower making class at Signed Sealed Delivered that featured a paper flower.  I used that as inspiration for my layout and accented my flowers with glass jewelry-making pieces I found at my local Walmart, for very little money.  Gotta love that :)

I couldn't have done the finishing touches of this layout without my Cricut, Cuttlebug, iRock, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  Correction: I wouldn't have wanted to do this layout without my Cricut, Cuttlebug, iRock, and Tim Holtz Distress Ink.
